Earth Sciences Institute of Shinyanga (ESIS) is a Private Technical Institute registered by the National Council for Technical Education of Tanzania (NACTE) with Reg. No REG/SAT/058 to offer Exploration & Mining Geology and Petroleum Geology programs.
ESIS invites applications from qualified candidates for the position of Petroleum Geology Tutor.
- Position: Petroleum Geology Tutor
- Department: Geology
- Reports to: The Principal
Main Purpose
To teach Petroleum Geology courses at NTA Levels 4–6 and perform all academic duties required of a tutor, including lecturing, assessments, marking, and student support.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Teach Petroleum Geology courses at NTA Levels 4–6 (Basic Certificate to Diploma).
- Conduct and supervise examinations up to NTA Level 7/8.
- Participate in research, consultancy, and curriculum development.
- Prepare learning resources and teaching materials.
- Supervise junior teaching staff.
- Guide students in fieldwork, practicals, and project reports.
- Prepare and submit performance reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc. in Petroleum Geology or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 from a recognized institution.
