Students at ESIS can enjoy a friendly environment that is natural. The Institute is built on a gentle hill along which mangle trees and much other natural vegetation give ESIS an attractive atmosphere.
Research and Consultancy
ESIS shall have a research and Consultancy unit dedicated in Active tectonics and Natural hazards: that is all studies related to Paleoseismology (paleoearthquakes), Seismology, Paleostress analysis, Volcanology, Landslides and environmental impacts of these aspects).
In this unit, mineral / and oil & gas researches and consultancies shall be undertaken.

Geology Programs
ESIS Offers long courses in Exploration and Mining Geology, Mineralogy and Petrology, Mining engineering, Mineral Processing engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology,
The institute offers also short courses in Geology and Mineral exploration, Mining and Mineral processing, Gemology and mineral cutting, Survey, GIS and Remote sensing, Palaeontology and Mineralogy and petrology,
ESIS Departments
ESIS will tentatively have seven (7) departments that will support in achieving its objectives. Other departments to be established in the next strategic plan period as will be found necessary.
